Best Vet Ever !
Knowing what you want should be priority for every normal individual when taking out for help his/her pets or yourself(on general in life).

I, for instance, have desired veterinarian for my little baby girl dog. Not just any kind veterinarian, but the one who can create friendly bond with her primarily, so she wouldn't have to be in pain or stress when examined !

This was a huge issue to me because at other clinics, my 6lb (pounds)baby was often extremely stressed due to violent/ignorant examination....physically restrained to the point when I lost nerves and end-up taking her out(I did spoiled her and majority of veterinarians care mainly about getting job done fast and earning as much as possible$$$).

That wasn't the case at Dr. Basta's little clinic. He managed to create friendly bond with animal and have examined her completely without having to have to press her jars or using other violent(sick) methods used at other clinics. It was funny to see my extremely sensitive baby(cry baby) for the first time and always thereafter in a hands of expert(he is have passed Egyptian and American examinations for Doctorate and is therefore accredited twice) veterinarian who have managed her without her shaking, crying for help, complaining, attempting to bite etc.

Your love for animals dear Dr. Basta also didn't stop you from explaining and answering honestly and best to your knowledge all my questions(concerns) which I had(other clinics will attempt to profit with sales instead). Your prices were very affordable to us(better than at other clinics). Your staff are guys/girls whose lifes have been almost saved from failures as you have helped them not only with employment, but as well directives in life(continuing education & best advices).

You have kept them and they have learned to love their work even more through your unselfishness for animals and human being(I was told all his by your staff during my visits at your almost sanctuary what you have managed to create with persistence, hard-work, honesty, and love ).

There were cases when I have recommended your services to people who were unable to find cure for their pets at multiple clinics while extremely overcharged....I have sent them to you to find real answers and cures ! You did it !

Yes, you are friend Dr. Basta, and it was always honor to visit you with my little patient.

I don't live on Miami Beach anymore(I am in Seattle today, but next week in Europe), and small spoiled girl stayed with my ex. As I have had thoughts on her today, however, you have also crossed my mind(imagine how important are you guys to us not only when serving our pets, but even years after).

This is just to say thank you very much Dr. Basta and help understand people what they need...what they should expect and where to get....

If you love your pets do not take them to this clinic
I took my cats for their routine annual checkup and vaccinations. Dr. Basta Jr recommended a senior panel so I agreed since they never had one and they were 8 years old. One test came back a bit high on the liver count and he recommended x rays and an ultrasound which all came back negative. He recommended putting her on denosyl which I did. She started to heave and he recommended putting her on laxatone and when that didn't work he said to shave her. I had called this office several times, and he did not bother to return my calls. She continued to heave and I took her back for another liver test. The liver count was a bit high and he said it was "through the roof". He looked at her ears and said she was juandiced and didn't even exam her. She had lost a great deal of weight by this time. He told me that he would be telling me when it was her "time to go" and I responded I wasn't ready to give up on her yet. He suggested giving her something to stop heaving. I started her on that and she continued to heave. After the poor treatment I received from Dr. Basta Jr., I took my cat to an internal veterinarian and called Pets and Vets to send the liver test results to the internist - which they did not do. It took several calls from the internist to this office to get them to finally release these tests. The internist said that the liver tests were not alarming and suggested giving her antibiotics . I did that and after 3 weeks she started to come around and gaining weight. It has been about 6 months and she has recovered and gained weight and is her normal self. She is still on the denosyl and a little of the anti heave medication. Had I kept going to P&V she surely would have died. Dr. Basta is rude and unprofessional and didn't explore all available courses of treatment as the internist did and was wonderful. I spent a lot of money with Dr. Basta Jr. and almost had a dead cat. If you love your pet don't take it there.

A Veterinarian with Knowledge and a HEART
My cat Shadow and my dog Precious have been patients of Dr. Amgad Basta for over 3 years at Florida Pets and Vets. The Vet (Dr. Amgad Basta) has always ben honest, compassionate and very patient with me and my pets, which I consider as my family. Problems have always been solved, with no stones left unturned. He always gives you a full explaination before doing anything, and I find his prices to be the best in the Miami area, giving you the most for your money. I would reccommend Florida Pets and Vets to everyone that loves their animal. This is not just a job for Dr. Amgad Basta, it is his passion.

Finally a Vet that knows his business
My dog Lucky is 13 years old, and has been a patient of Dr. Amgad Basta for about 4 years. Lucky was bit by an insect, and started to tear the hair out at the sight of the bite. After consulting with Dr. Amgad Basta,
I administered the medication he advised me to give to her and in less than two weeks her hair was already growing back. Thanks Doc! Good Job!

UNPROFESSIONAL and UNETHICAL
I never look around for these sites to leave a review, but after having dealt with this guy, I couldn't help myself.

Dr. Basta is one of the most unprofessional doctors I have ever dealt with. He has continued to treat us like he is doing us a favor and at one point even managed to let us know that he was getting close to the point to telling us to "get the hell out of here" when we would ask questions as to how/why things were priced the way they were.

Today we took Jessie to the Hollywood Animal Hospital, and for half the price, and half the time we were able to find out that our little baby needs to get her toe amputed due to cancer that was spreading through a tumor. Dr. Basta did not once let us know that this was the problem. He continuously told us that the foot was healing and was on its way to recovery.

I do NOT recommend this guy to anyone looking for high-quality vs. low cost for their pets.
