I went to Flamingo Bowl during the Easter Holiday weekend with my young daughters only to find out that their non-displayed hidden "policy" states that a child must be under the age of 6 or the height of the counter in order to use the bowling lane bumpers. My youngest daughter is 8 years old and was not enjoying the game at all. Who trys to enjoy the game of bowling with endless gutter balls?
I asked the useless lady at the counter about setting up the lane bumpers. She referred me to the Manager who stated that Flamingo Bowl's policy prohibited any one above the age of 6 to bowl with the bumpers. She said that customers in the past had damaged the bumpers and therefore, my family and I could not use them. They also refused to refund my money after playing one game. I asked for the bumpers after the first game and the manager stated that she could NOT refund my money but instead give me a bowling pass. Why would I want to go back to a place that has these absurd non-displayed bowling and refund policies? After all, you are paying for services that are not being rendered by the business.
The manager also told me that she tells her kids to run and throw the ball down the middle of the lane that way the ball won't go down into the gutters. I asked her if she wanted me to tell my 8 year old daughter to place herself in danger by doing so and she stated that wasn't what she was saying.
If my daughter did try the manager's kids methods of bowling, what would of happened if my daughter would have crossed the line, slipped on the bowling lane and hurt herself? Would Flamingo Bowl be reponsible? The manager stated they were not responsible for accidents!!
Why would I want to go back to a place that has these absurd non-displayed bowling and refund policies? After all, you are paying for services that are not being rendered by the business.
Shouldn't bowling be a sport that a family and kids should enjoy? It is, but not at Flamingo Bowl!!!
Please if you have children over the age of 6 and at least 3 feet tall, take them some where else to bowl unless they are 300 scoring masters in the making!!!
