I have never had anything bad at this restaurant and in fact it has always been awesome, I am partial to the Easy Rider and the Del Carnita sandwiches

This is our favorite restaurant for breakfast in the Monterey area. The prices are good, they cater to young children (which is a plus for our family), and the food is delicious! I always recommend this restaurant to friends who are visiting Monterey.

This is our favorite place to eat when we go to the coast. The food is great and the portions are large. We have eaten there for breakfast and lunch and we have never been dissapointed.

What can I say; they have created a jewel on the bay. I was in Monterey with my fiancee four days and we found this place on day two. I wish we had another day to try more of the menu. Although we ventured to the Salinas store which was not quite as good as the one on the bay, First Awakenings is one of those "Must Go" places while in the Monterey area. Everything we had was prepared perfectly, extremely delicious and filling. A+ in Pacific Grove, B in Salinas.

This is THE place for breakfast in Monterey.Big portions, coffee thermos and water pitcher left on the table, and very attentive service from the staff. My husband loved the skillet breakfast:country potatoes on the bottom with eggs and ham piled on top, served with an english muffin.Pancakes are the size of the plate, literally.The omelette's are fluffy and delicious.We highly recommend using the Chunky Garlic Pepper Sauce on everything! It's so good we bought 2 bottles to bring home. Pets are welcome to sit out on the patio while dining. We found this place by another online review and were not disappointed. In fact, we had breakfast here three days in a row, trying different things, and each meal was tasty. This will no doubt be our breakfast joint each time we visit Monterey. Prices average between $8-10 and are well worth it. Other reviewers mentioned waiting in line, but we never did.We were there around 10am and were able to get a table outside right away. It's nice to be away from the crowds of Cannery Row as well.
