Sunday Blues brunch
Eating under the "tent" surrounded by beautiful plants made us feel like we were on a picnic. Brunch food was excellent and we ending up ordering lots of different things and sharing. But the best thing was the music. An absolute master guitarist played 4 different guitars and mixed up his originals with down home country blues. We didn't want to leave buy could see people lined up waiting for a table. We will be back.

My friends and I have eaten at the firefly numerous times. We find the food excellent with a small selection that compliments the appetizers. The soups have been especially delicious. We enjoy the seasonal offerings. My husband is very particular about his food. I asked his opinion." Well seasoned well prepared and satisfying a gourmet palate." We are fortunate to have a restaurant of this caliber in our town...

Great Location for a Girls Brunch!
I hosted a Bridal Shower at the FireFly for my sister-in-law to be. We had about 30 people of all ages. The manager and waiter did everything to make our afternoon perfect. The menu had great choices that would please everyone's taste. They provided a beautiful spread of breads and fresh fruit as starters. They managed to serve everyone at the same time despite the various orders and party size and even packed up the cupcakes to take home.

Bad Wine Policy...and Bad Food
We were immediately turned off by this restaurant when the manager came over and said we could only open 2 bottles of wine because of their corkage rule. We were a party of 10 people celebrating a couple birthdays and about 4 people brought wine from home to open at dinner. The manager said he didn't care whether we were a party of 50...there is still a 2 bottle corkage limit. We all thought that was a little rude and a bad way to welcome a big dinner party to your restaurant. So, we opened 2 of our bottles and then bought 3 bottles from their wine list. These wines from their wine list were less than desirable. I felt like asking the manager if I could just pay the average $45 price of one of their bottles so that I could open up another of our bottles that were far superior.

On a side note, we got to talking with another guest at the restaurant who was there for a wedding party. She said that their dinner was a disaster because the executive chef never showed up and the food was 1 hour late and burned.

I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody. BAD WINE POLICY...BAD FOOD...BAD SERVICE...RUDE MANAGER.

Good food, don't over think it.
I made an account on city search just so I could write a review about Firefly! I've been there a handful of times and always have had a good meal. On my last visit my Boyfriend and I shared the grilled endive salad and it was delightful, the smoked blue cheese and the almonds.. yumm.. such a good pairing. For our main course I had the braised pork and he had the smoked rib eye. The pork was so tender and the rib eye was cooked perfectly, with just a hint of smokeyness that didn't over power the meal. We loved both dishes and just about licked our plates clean. Service was pleasant, even though it was a cold night and the restaurant is under a tent it was still nice and cozy. I've only been for dinner, one of these days I'll get around to coming for brunch. The west side can keep there pretentious restaurants. I highly recommend firefly for dinner.
