This is such a good bakery. All of their stuff is made fresh daily and never brought in frozen. I have been getting my cakes from here forever and I have never had a problem. All of their cakes are beautiful and all of their stuff is fantastic.If you are looking for a bakery this is the place to go!

As an aspiring pastry chef having tasted the food, I would say there is much better out there. Most of the food at fancy pastry has been brought in frozen and baked off. They wont hire anyone with real talent because then they must actually pay them. The cake at their bakery is dry and the icing is too sweet. Maybe if Lexington actually had a real bakery we would know what real baked goods tasted like. They can be amazing, but the stuff at fancy pastry is severly lacking.

I love everything I've ever bought from this establishment, but EVERY time I've been in there, which is probably close to 20 times, the workers have ALWAYS been rude, the last time, my husband and I just left. Also it's either cash or a check, so for those who use just their debit cards, you're out of luck.
