A Northville boy's birthday party was interrupted Saturday when one of the partygoers thought he was grabbing a rubber snake on the side of the pool inside the Livonia Fairfield Inn, but realized it was alive when it hissed back at him. Hotel management removed the 14-inch snake and let it go outside.

The one at 10 mile and Grand River was immaculate, and for the price, has frills such as 2-line phones, (a pool also), a sauna, is a suite and buffet included, also the staff is really nice and quick.
