Expensive, Cluttered, Over-Rated‎
For the Jacksonville area, this is probably the best used bookstore. Unfortunately, that isn't saying much. The prices are VERY expensive for used books; often a mere 10-20% markdown off the cover price, even if the book has drawings on the cover. I made the mistake of buying a stack of books and comparing that to what I would have spent on amazon.com. Fantasy hardbacks for $20, amazon: $7.50 and less, including shipping. Just browsing this store produces claustrophobia; aisles 1-person wide, low ceilings, and no real sense of organization. You'll be talking to staff a lot just to find what you're looking for. People who enjoy this place likely haven't visited a more reputable used bookstore and don't have something to compare it to. 2 Stars, and I'm never going back.‎

Nothing else like it‎
They have over 2 million books in the store and approx. 30000 rare and collectible books online. You can trade in your used books for credit any day of the week. They do not have an inventory of their books, but the employees are very helpful. You can also rent or buy from a large selection of DVDs. Other items for sale include CDs, VHS, TV seasons, and books on audio. The sections include, but are certainly not limited to; History, Self Help, Nutrition, Animals, Art, Gay+Lesbian, Science, Classics, Ecology, Foxfire, Construction, African American, Religion, Teen Fiction, Beatnik, Business...etc. etc. etc. Used books are half off the cover price. The price of new books vary, but are always discounted. GREAT place to go for your kid's school reading list. Teachers can also benefit from their SURPLUS of copies of titles that can serve as a class set. Teachers can also order books through their school for a bulk discount. Teachers ALWAYS receive an additional 10% off of their purchase ...

My Favorite Independent Bookstore‎
As a collector, this bookstore is a virtual candyland. I can easily leave with a stack of books that reaches my thighs and only spend twenty dollars! Students will appreciate the cheap prices on classics and other required reading at school. Fans of movies will probably love the $6 DVDs-- and I have yet to buy a DVD from them with any major scratches. Japanophiles will lke the five buck manga. If you can't find it here, (or at their downtown location), they'll put in an order for you and it will arrive very quickly. All around, an excellent, cozy, and well-stocked bookstore. (And the downtown location sells very good hot chocolate!)‎

Great Place- Prices aren't "...‎
A great place and is as a used bookstore should be, dusty, musty, confusing mazes, quaint little hand scribbled signs - often prices not in the books - books to the ceiling - However I have found their prices to be 10 - 25% higher than other used bookstores I have visited including online booksellers. And they can do this because they are the best (only?) used bookstore of its size and longevity in the city.‎

Great Books by Priscilla E. at InsiderPages
This book store is awesome. I love going here. They have so many books to choose from. The staff is friendly and helpful. When you need that hard to find book I would call here first. They have all kinds of old and new books. If you have some books lying around and don't know what to do with them you can bring them in here to get store credit. I have done this with my older sons books and let him get some new books (well new to him) He was very happy.
