I used my Extra Space Storage unit for more than 10 years. The property is clean and the employees are very helpful. You can receive email notices when you are overdue ahead of the late fees so you can avoid late payments. The facilities are clean, upgraded, and well-kept. There were never any problems with with leaks or weather damage, indications of rodents, roaches, or ants. I even lost track of time while arranging my items in the unit and got stuck inside the compund. The employees were very understanding and helpful and let me out without incident or problem.‎

I got the special offer for the first month free deal for my rental. It totally beats all other storage unit competitors that I was looking in town. Plus, the staffs are always friendly and professional. They made me feel welcome.‎

Extra Space's Hayward facility is clean, well run and very convenient in terms of hours and proximity to Highway 880/CA-92. The staff is polite and friendly and does a nice job of processing new tenants. The office also is well stocked with storage supplies and the property features many different types of units, with generally good availability and very good prices. Inside storage in buildings are on the 1st or 2nd floor and have luggage lifts to facilitate move in/out. Definitely worth checking out.‎

I had never heard of this company until finding it in a local search. The rates sounded fair, and so my husband proceeded to make a reservation for a unit that was supposed to upstairs around the corner from the elevators. When we arrived we found out that the newly installed elevators were not working as of yet, and being we had big appliances we declined to take the unit. At first we were told they did not have a single unit in size and rate comparable to what we had reserved, however the staff seemed eager to want to find a resolution. In spite of being busy, they took the time and effort to research what they could provide for us, and then they showed us some units, and we ended up taking three seperate units side by side. We then asked if they would honor the same rate quoted for the original unit, and they did, even though the rate for the one we had reserved, was lower than than what they had available for us to rent. Great storage facility!! The Ups: The gate accessibility and times are good. The lighting in the buildings are also good, and i never had any issues with my storage units - they came clean and doors functioned. Initially, i got a storage unit here to store my dorm goods for the summer time. After i was shown a few different available units, i started with a 4x6 (or something like that. It was double doors and very accessible, right next to the elevator, too!!!). The price was very affordable for my starving student days. Then after moving out stuff, i transferred to a 3x6. The ease of transferring my bill was simple, as the staff were very helpful in ensuring i would minimize any extra costs. There was a guy in the yard who helped me take my stuff from the 2nd floor of one building to the 2nd floor of another building, which was extremely helpful!
