I found Lewis at Express Auto capable and honest. On the phone I asked him to estimate what it would cost to adjust my emergency brake and without hesitating he said $30 - and that’s what it actually cost me. Ford estimated $70 - $80 “if it didn’t need new parts”.

The only problem is that he is hard to find because he is behind a car wash and the actual entrance is off Spencer St. We will be bringing our other two cars to him also.

My daughter's car died on the 405 on her way to the Bay Area on Friday afternoon before Memorial day weekend. After talking with her I was pretty sure the clutch was toast, leaving her and the car stranded in Torrence.

We were able to contact my brother-in-law who recommended Luis at Express Auto. Luis confirmed the clutch was a problem and said he could order the parts and have the car ready for pickup the following Wednesday or Thursday. ( Not bad for a 20 year Import )

I called Luis several times to discuss work in progress and he always took the time to talk options and was very knowledgeable about what needed to be done. Added to the original repair was a new clutch master cylinder, (It had a small leak which I already new about) slave cylinder and the two rear brake wheel cylinders were leaking so they were replaced, along with an oil change.

The car was ready for pickup the following Thursday and we picked it up and drove it back to the Bay Area without incident.

Next day I opened the hood to check the oil and to my surprise the transmission which had been removed to replace the clutch was cleaned and painted. Engine oil was exactly at the full mark.

I am very happy about the quality of work and service by Luis and his team, great communication they delivered 110%.

Prompt, thorough service. Friendly staff. Highly recommend. Always they do a little bit more. You can get a free car wash with oil and lube. I have taken my Blazer in for a variety of repairs and Express always comes through.‎
