Genuine, friendly, with generous knowledge
People are entitled to their opinions, but after visiting Excelsior Coin Gallery, something of a local landmark on Arden, which was established in 1984 - information I was provided by the friendly and knowledgeable owner - I was left with nothing but a positive impression. An owner run business is too rare these days, in our world of Wal-Mart visioned stores, and I was pleased to wait in line and watch the varied clintele spend some time with the co-owners, whom they addressed directly, sensitively, accurately and with good information. It was clear that they both had repore with the customers, with the husband of the couple admittedly having more in the way of sparkle, for my particular way of seeing things. Perhaps women would see the couple differently. Indeed, I found myself commenting to the owner, quite without resistance, that he seemed a "nice" person, a comment I offered in response to hearing that he had been stolen from via a fake cashier's check. It was something like, "how can someone think to do that to such a nice person; now if you were a swindling hood..." So, you can see that the environment was healthy and positive, and I felt as though I was spending time with a business I would like to frequent for many years to come. I hope this older couple endeavors in their line of work for many more years.
