As I stood in this man's cluttered and filthy dirty office politely waiting for him to get off of a personal call I rationalized that a filthy shop and office could be overlooked so long as the work was good. Then he showed me the material samples piled in the back of his cluttered van. I listened as he detailed the price for the job I wanted quoted. He knew I had my own fabric to match our baby's nursery but proceeded to tell me labor would drop $10.00 per hour if I bought his material. I understand that is his right but felt at the time I would not care to pay $50.00 an hour for 8 hours to have this job worked on. I told him that was a deal breaker and thanked him for the quote which was nearly $540 for a rocking chair and ottoman with new pads and I was providing the material. At this point he lost it and told me I was wasting his time. (I was there around 20 minutes some of which was waiting for him to get off the phone).
