So I go out to Eternal Hills on Memorial Day to visit my father. When I drive in, there is a lady who stops me and asks me to fill out a survey. I set it aside and drive up to where my Dad is. I put a flag and flowers on his grave. You would think it being Memorial Day the groundskeepers would have done their best to make it look half way pleasing. What a mess. Overgrown crabgrass and it needed mowing badly. Next, I get in my car and start to fill out this survey. Oh My God. It was nothing more than a marketing joke asking me if someone dies in my family, would I know what to do. Next, they try to sell pre-planning. What a joke. What a terrible thing to do on Memorial Day. On my way out a lady stopped me and asked if I had something for her (the survey) I looked at her straight in the eye and said "no and I'm extremely offended on the way Eternal Hills markets themselves." I am an very low keyed person and things roll off my back pretty easy. All I can say is it had to be ...

Shame Shame on Eternal Hills
I like others have family members buried at Eternal Hills. They should be ashamed of them self's on how they keep the lower half of the grounds and other areas. I go weekly and I see head stones grown over with grass and weeds. I see an elderly man bring his own hose and weed eater to trim around him family members headstone weekly and I as well bring my own cutting tools. You pay so much to have your family and friends plot area kept from over grown grass and weeds and week after week I can attest to their non keeping of the grounds. I was told NOT to go with Eternal Hills instead to go the Cemetery in San Marcos where it is kept up , however I was rest assured it would be kept up at Eternal Hills. Wow was that a story.‎

double the price half the service
My mom was at Eternal Hills to embalm and place in a container, to send to another state for burial. When I brought her clothes, the staff accepted them, without tagging them. I was driving out of the parking lot when they flagged me down to ask me her name again. I decided to bring another dress to her funeral, just in case they had the wrong dress on her. I wasn't called when she was picked up, as promised. I later found out that I was charged a little more than double of what Oceanside Mortuary would have charged for the same services. When I discussed this with the staff, I was told that they charge more, because the cemetery is on the grounds!‎

Not Helpful at all
We came from quite a distance to see my families's graves. I gave a receptionist all names and death dates. waited almost an hour then told none of them where there. I have 5 family members there and told them that was not possible. Not only was they unconcerned and boadering on rude. I called a cousin on my cell phone who was able to give me directions to thier crypts. Not only where they there but 3 of the crypts touched. 2 above and one below. Good thing we did not take thier word for it!‎

I did not personally deal with this...
facility in setting up services, but attended services there for my Great Grandma. It's in a very nice location, the place was very clean, we had plenty of time and didn't feel rushed at all, and we were able to celebrate the wonderful life of my dear Great Grandmother. ...
