I have purchased make up and facial products here. Great location, but as for the hair stations...does not look like a very comfortable area. Everything looks congested, the stations are right next to each other and the is just no room. Oh I almost forgot...VERY pricey. I will continue to purchase make up and facial cleansers herel‎

Stop the Up-selling!!!
At first, I loved going to Essentials. I loved my stylist, but about a year or so ago, the up-selling started and just got progressively worse. Every product that was used on my hair was written down and when I went to pay, there the products were sitting on the counter waiting for me to purchase them. I don't need to buy shampoo and conditioner every 6 weeks! My stylists said that they had to make product sales. Hair products, facial products, nail products, flat irons, and shoes were pushed. Plus, I got tired of being crammed into the tight space to have my hair washed and weaved. Essentials is not as "upscale" as they would like to believe they are. The prices do not reflect personalized service. There are much better places in Bakersfield that make you feel like a customer, not a blank check waiting to be written. I always came out of Essentials feeling totally down, like I paid way too much for what I got. I won't be going back. I hope that my stylist will one ...
