This company is an unprofessional organization. I am confident that given the nature of how I was treated, many others have and will be treated this way. I was overcharged for the services provided beyond both the prices quoted and beyond what the market pricing for said services should be. I am writing so that others do not fall into the same trap that I did. Understand my complaint is about principle, not money. If I was aware of what the charges were to be initially, paying them would be no problem. Fair, honest, and straightforward business practices are what I have come to expect. My poor experience with Esquire Fine Cleaners has amounted to a violation of principles and it is is summed up as follows:
So at the request of my girlfriend I was commissioned to find a dry cleaner that was relatively close to our new home. After calling around to multiple places and coming to this website, I decided to take 7 shirts and 3 pairs of pants to Esquire Fine Cleaners on Fountain View. I called earlier in the day and asked how much it cost to launder a shirt and dry clean a pair of pants. I was informed that the cost would be 1.50 for the shirt and 4.95 for a pair of pants and that was it. This seemed pretty straightforward to me. This pricing was maybe a little bit more for said services, but the relatively positive data that I could find on this company was more than could be said for other companies, so I brought my things here on Monday 2/25. I explained that I wanted 7 shirts laundered and 3 pairs of pants dry cleaned. I was told I could pick these items up on Wednesday after 3pm. I was surprised that I wasn't supposed to pay for these services in advance as was customary at most dry cleaners that I had experienced.
