Can't say enough good things about Empire Floors. We priced our project out with several places and not only did they come in substantially lower than the rest, they were on time, professional and friendly. And they have some incredible deals right now (summer 2009)!!! We were planning on buying material and doing the work ourselves, but once Empire priced it out for us it made no sense to install it ourselves. Check them out and compare -- you won't be disappointed! I can't believ how big a difference changing the floors has made in our home (went from carpet to hardwoods) -- it feels like a brand new house. And I'd like to reiterate what the other reviewer said about no pressure sales. I NEVER felt pressured and the bid they gave us wasn't overblown (adding s.f., etc.) My husband is an architect so we had already measured the space carefully and had a pretty good idea on the amount of material we would need. My wife and I recently decided to put wood flooring and new carpeting in the house.We wanted to do business with a local company, but it would not be most important criteria. We choose three local companies and went to work. One of the companies we contacted was Empire Floors. The gentleman who answered the phone was friendly, knowledgeable, and articulate. He was never pushy, or suggested we come in right now for the latest "special" and concluded with the comment, "let me know if I can be of any further help." Wow! We called around and found out that two relatives- who are very demanding-had utilized Empire Floors services and were very happy with the experience. Excellent sales people, extensive product choice, clean show room, fair pricing and the jobs were completed on time by well mannered crews.
