Online retailers are probably cheaper, but sometimes I don't know what I need or what to call it in my online search. The staff at Elliot is very knowledgeable and have helped me solve my problems many times. Sometimes I need to hold the part in my hands to understand how it will work in my application and that's something the online stores can't match. Elliot has a lot of stuff that I can't find anywhere else in town. Try it, you'll like it.‎

I recently needed some 7400 and 4000 series ICs for a school project and they had all the required chips, even the older TTL series. Not only that, but after looking at the circuit design they helped me pick out chips that were better suited to the task, reducing complexity and lowering the price (the staff I worked with clearly knew their stuff, which is a nice change from retailers such as Radioshack). Unfortunately, they are more expensive than online retailers such as Jameco. However if you need parts right away I definitely recommend Elliott electronics, and the service is great.‎

I have been going to Elliot electronics for 15 years, and when I want a component, they usually have it. My only gripe is that they can be a little pricey. If you are building a prototype, want the component today, and are willing to pay a little more, then Elliot is a good choice. If you can wait a few days, and are ordering a bunch of parts then I recommend AlliedElec.com.‎

Elliott has a good assortment of parts from small bulbs to connections to large bulbs. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommended to the do-it-yourselfer.

Great for parts that you don't normally see at your local radioshack. Does not provide install service but can provide limited help for your electrical problems. Have a huge inventory available for most repairs of anything that plugs into the wall. They have sidewalk sales too and are very friendly.
