Elite Home Energy is a circus
Elite Home Energy or Elite Exteriors is the most unorganized and unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. Background - Wanted new Anlon Windows and they were a dealer so I called them. They came out to my home to bid on a huge front window and a huge slider. I went through the sales pitch and they were keen to have me sign that day since I had not gotten any other bids. Quoted me $8,200 for the two windows. I called American Vision...they came out quoted $4,300 for the exact same Anlon windows. I asked American Vision for a quote for my entire house of 15 windows and 3 sliders and it was $12,500. Got the entire house done and no payments for 1 year.

Forward summer 2009. Getting bids on solar power. Got a bid from American Solar (new business unit of American Vision) received a call out of the blue from Elite Home Energy and told them I was accepting bids for solar and tankless water heater. I set up an appointment took time off from work and no one showed up from Elite Home Energy.

A month later (two weeks ago) I received another call from another rep at Elite Home Energy. I told them my gripes but they promised to correct things and give a good bid for the project. I was out of town and asked them to call last week when I was back in town. I received a call from a different rep last week and told them what I wanted...estimate for solar which would be done within the next six months. The rep tried to sell tankless water heater, outside paint, and attic insulation. I answered all their questions regarding my energy bills and usage. When I said no to the other stuff I was put on hold and told it did not make sense for me to get solar.

I was starting to get upset and told the rep in todays economy with dwindling discretionary spending it was asinine to turn away business that was certain to get done within the next 6 months. I told them it was insane to say no to a great lead for an estimate in these times. I asked to speak to the supervisor who said I should not get solar. The supervisor's name or sales rep at Elite Home Energy is Robert See. We spoke at length and I answered all the questions again about my energy usage and cost and he again tried to sell me the water heater, attic insulation, and exterior paint. We set an appointment for today at 10am and again I took off work. Again, no one from Elite Home Energy showed up. I called Robert See to see what the deal is and he had no answer for me but would get back to me after speaking with his supervisor Ed Johnson. Elite home Energy is a circus with no organization. I gave them three shots and they yanked me around each time. I wonder if the owner knows how incompetent his staff is and how much money he is potentially losing. What a shame.

Install or Upgrade Blown-In Insulation
The installers were dressed professionally, very courteous and called to confirm the appointment. The equipment used was professional and the service truck and trailer were clean and professional. The installers explained the process and proceeded to use a long hose that blew in the insulation. The cellulose insulation was very effective. Regardless of the weather outside (85-86 daytime temperature, or 38 degrees night time temperature, the temperature in the house remained at 70 degrees as well as the garage (all of this with no heating or air conditioning used. I would recommend Elite Home Energy for attic insulation.

Finally!!! by Raegan P. at InsiderPages
I hired this company to replace 9 windows and 1 patio door. Installation began on 07/08/05. That evening I had a chance to look at the progress on my home. The installers had damaged the stucco surrounding my kitchen window and also splintered part of the wood frame. On 07/09/05 I spoke with a supervisor at Elite and he said he would come look at the damage the following week. He agreed to arrange a time with my mother because I would be on vacation. When I came back from vacation, I discovered that they had refused to work with my mother. I then called and spoke with the operations manager who said they would fit me in on 08/10. I told them that was unacceptable. They set up an appointment on 08/08. On 08/08 the salesman and the supervisor came out to take a look at the damage and said they would fix it with some wood putty. When I addressed the substandard quality of work that had been done (the windows weren't centered), the salesman became agressive. Gabriel started yelling and took 2 steps toward my boyfriend, pointing his finger in his face and telling him to shut up. I kicked them out of my home.
When the company was contacted and informed of their salesman's behavior, they had nothing to say. Not once has anyone apologized, including management. I have never been treated so poorly! ****Update**** After I spoke to the owner, he hired a new, more experienced installer who came out and made my home look beautifull. I'm happy now!

PROS: They fixed the problems.
CONS: It took alot to get the company to own up to their mistakes.
