Excellent - Fish Sandwiches Rule
It took me a while to get to El Pescador after moving to La Jolla. I'd forget about it because it's on a part of Pearl that I don't usually go to and they have a small parking lot.

I love the fish sandwiches and chowder. I've purchased filets to cook at home a few times and you totally get what you pay for. The only thing that I'm not too wild about is their ceviche but only because The Fishery's is so awesome, that not a lot can compare. But they are on the other side of town so if I'm in La Jolla, I'll still get it from El Pescador.

There is a little bit of seating on the inside of the restaurant but we usually get it to go. The parking lot is small, but I never have too much trouble finding a space on a side street or on Pearl unless it's a sunny weekend.

Great place for fish!!
A friend introduced me to El Pescador Fish Market, saying it was one of his favorite places in La Jolla to get fish. I was not disappointed. Although I probably wouldn't buy fish from here because it's on the expensive side (most of the fish sold are local), they had a wide variety of fish available for salads, sandwiches, and plates. My girlfriend and I tried the Alaskan halibut and the sea bass sandwiches. They were delicious. The fish was cooked perfectly and the sauce was a great compliment. The sandwich comes either on torta bread, or I even saw someone get it with sourdough as well. My friend got the mexican shrimp plate, which came with rice along with a salad. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who likes to eat fish.

Delicious Fresh Fish Sandwiches
My friend introduced us to this little fish market today and I was so pleasantly surprised. Driving by on the street, I might not have noticed this shop at all had my friend not pointed it out to me. The parking lot it kind of small but it's not usually full so you can find a spot no problem.

Inside, they have fish and other seafood on display, it's so neat and tidy and everything is fresh. Most of the items are local, and it's always great to support anything that's local. They had all different kinds of fish, shrimp, oysters, clams, mussles, seawood, sashimi, really good stuff.

The menu looked delicious as well. They make all sorts of sandwiches and plates that include salad. I got the halibut sandwich and tried some of my boyfriend's sea bass sandwich as well. Both were sooo delicious! I love the combination of everything inside it. My friends got a plate of medium sized shrimp and we all really enjoyed our food.

I really love this place that I've discovered and I'll definitely be back here for more this year. I highly recommend you to try their sandwiches!

Great fish in La Jolla
I have eaten here only about 3 times for several reasons:
1. Never any parking
2. A bit pricey for me.
3. Inside the seating is very very limited
4. Lunch times the wait can be way too long!
But for sure this is high quality , fresh as can be fish, sometimes I wonder if they just killed the poor fish :)

Awesome Fish Place
This place is amazing, there almost there a time when this place is not packed in the afternoon. Either by people eating there or most people ordering Fish to go for dinner. Everything is great here and its a quick place to stop by and order food to go.
