If you want a sportsbar I found it
The food was okay, for a sportsbar it was well above average. If you want high end food I wouldnt expect it at a sports bar unless your from Idaho or Victorville.
They have all the nfl games on sundays. Huge patio, staff looks pretty good. Its a real sportsbar they have alot of big plsma TVs everywhere. I was there for football on a sunday and ufc on a saturday and it was packed both times. Our servers looks were much better than her skills. Beer was cold.
Its on par with happyendings + a patio.

Slow service, flat beer!
This busy and noisy establishment has proven to be consistently disappointing. Aside from it's great location and multiple large screen TVs, it has little to offer. Slow service is the norm! The food is so-so, and the beer is flat! Moreover, yesterday, the last straw for me, they stole my credit card. I called today to inquire and not only had a hard time getting through, but when I did, I received inadequate answers. I then found out that there were 3 fraudulent charges made on my card! This place is not friendly or responsible. Check out Lala's across the street or the Village Idiot for much better eats, or the Snake Pit for game time.

Punked Me on a Birthday Party
So check it: I was looking for a place to have a 30th birthday party and emailed El Guapo. I never heard back from them and ended up going to CineSpace instead. My party was on a Saturday night, and on my way back from Vegas Saturday afternoon at like 3:30, I get a voicemail. A lady's voice says, "Hey, this is _______ from El Guapo. We had you scheduled for a party of 15 tonight at 9. Whoever booked this made a mistake and we have an event tonight. All the tables will be full by 6. Sorry." Which didn't bother me, because I never scheduled the party anyway. However, they THOUGHT I did, and they cancelled it like that, the day of. If I HAD booked the party there, and sent out the text messages and the Evites and the emails, well, that's like feces on my head. It stinks.

Total Frat House - decent Happy Hour
Check out the review of this and many other happy hours at: happiest hours(dot)blog spot(dot)com - no spaces between words, but City Search won't allow it any other way. This place was cheap cheap cheap, the portions were HUGE and the food was full-on edible. My dining partner and I thought we'd start with two orders of taquitos (one beef, one chicken) and the melted queso dip then go on from there. Amateurs. We couldn't finish it. Any of it. The appetizer taquitos are large and come with full portions of rice and beans, plus generous scoops of sour cream and guacamole. This would be a meal for me on any given night. They also tasted good - not amazing, but not bad - and arrived at our table piping hot. The melted queso was very good, but it needs to be served in something that will keep it warm. By the time we got through that portion of the taquitos that we could eat, the cheese was starting to congeal a bit. My tip - order this first, then when you are sick of it, move on to other tastes. Others in our group got the nachos and claimed they were decent. From my vantage, they were the size of Mount Whitney (and also half price).

So - three giant appetizers, one beer, one iced tea (which never went empty) and with our usual big tip, the total was twenty bucks. That's right - a double sawbuck for two people to be stuffed and happy.

The 'Cheers' of Melrose!!!
I call it the 'Cheers' of melrose bc i'm there all the time & it really feels like my neighborhood chill spot. Everything is really inexpensive & always consistently good. The bar used to be in the middle & i liked it but it was hard to move when it was crowded. They remodeled & it is so roomy now. It looks great! The servers & bartenders they have now are fa real on it! Before service was a lil slow, but now they are energetic, really personable & i don't have to wait for anything. I recently had Sara & she's the best server i've ever had!!! Lightening quick this girl & she joked with us the entire time.
