I answered a CL advertisement to be a hair model for this salon. I received a response from Angie Cha who wanted me to come at 5:30 the next day. I confirmed my appointment and she insisted that if I couldn't make it to let her know because she could have other models take the spot. I told her I would be there.

I canceled a date and a gym appointment to make this hair modeling gig and I showed up at 5:20 for my 5:30 appointment.

I was shown to the changing room, got myself ready, sat down and waited for Angie. Finally she came over, gave me a hug and a kiss (I've never met this woman before) and she insisted that she was soooooo sorry but she had to leave for a doctors appointment at 6 that she forgot about.

She told me that she could reschedule me for Monday at 12 when I told her I was working during the day and could not make that time. She told me to come at that time anyway and she would make me beautiful. I just agreed and proceeded to leave. She walked me to the elevator and told me how sorry she was and would buy me lunch on Monday. She never called me to cancel, never called to check about her promised Monday appointment.

Needless to say I will not go back there. I scheduled a hair modeling with Cutler Salon in Soho and got impeccable service from Rebecca. Go see her!

I have been a client at Eiji Salon since it opened. I followed Cynthia Varon, my stylist, to Eiji Salon when she moved from the late, great John Sahag's salon. Cynthia is an artist and a wonderful human being. I have what one might call "trying" hair. Cynthia and her assistant patiently spend 1 1/12 hours cutting it to a degree of precision that allows me to get away with about three haircuts a year. The salon itself is very soothing and the staff is courteous and helpful. I could not recommend Cynthia or Eiji Salon any more highly. Do yourself a favor and make an appointment!

I've been going to Eiji since 1988, I think. A long time.

Their "dry cut" is ideal for anyone with thick, curly, frizzy hair. The shape is always perfect and never round. Stying is a snap with a little lotion and a diffuser.

I saw Johnny in Atlantic City at a hair show I accidentally stumbled into, and was so amazed at his work. Turns out he does not work for the salon he was at for the show, but now is working here. Well wherever he works, I will always make sure I go.

He is total rock n roll and has this way of cutting that, makes me fall in love every appointment. The hair cut is precise, beautiful, and lasts for ever! I come in every two months, which is perfect for my wallet, and tells a lot about his cut.

I would follow Johnny everywhere! Once I found out that he left John Sahag I had to find out where he could have gone, or it would be the end of the road for my hair! I'd just let it grow till I found him. LUCKILY FOR ME, I have found him here and I couldn't be more happy! The salon is beautiful and the staff is very friendly!
DON'T EVER LEAVE ME AGAIN JOHNNY!!!
