Wendy and Chi make a great team
Watching such a skilled craftsman - and that's what Chi is - work is really emotionally moving. It's so rare these days to see people who take pride in their work - as in when he noticed that there was a little gap between the faucet plate and the wall. Many plumbers would have simply left it like that, or caulked over it, and I was expecting that. Instead, he took the whole assembly back out, custom ground the nipple down to size, and reassembled the whole thing back on. This is the kind of craftsmanship that once made America great, before we all went the way of "just buy another one when it breaks".
And get this - when it came time to pay him, I offered him what I felt was fair. He actually turned me down - he told me that he would only accept what he felt was fair and gave me back the rest.
On time, extremely efficient (not a single wasted moment), incredibly skilled, fair and polite.
And, don't forget his wife Wendy - so organized, cheerful, and personable! She kept me informed through email and phone throughout the process, helping me decide what to buy and when we might get it done.
Don't waste your money and time on any Jack with a hammer and wrench who claims to be a discount plumber - or one of those much-advertised companies that claim to have plumbers that smell good. If you need someone who really knows what he's doing, and is personally invested in doing it the right way, call Drain Tech up and ask for Chi.
