I have had a couple different dentists in both Birmingham and Chicago from which we moved, that have attempted to drill my teeth for no apparent reason other than to take my money. As an adult with no cavities I found it very hard to believe that I had 9 as the first dentist that I met with in Birmingham tried to tell me. As you can imagine I did not return to that particular dentist and found Dr. Samford. I visited his office and quickly learned that as I had always been told, my teeth looked great and there were NO problems. I am very happy that I only had to try two dentists to find the dentist that I will use as long as I am living in Birmingham. Thanks Dr. Samford!‎

We moved to Birmingham from Dallas and a friend suggested Double Oak Mountain Family Dentistry. My wife and children were as pleased as I was with the prompt appointments, kind and knowledgable staff and thorough doctors we met. My wife was thrilled that the office participates as a provider for both my former and now my new insurance company. Better yet, the office files claims for our services so that all I have to pay is my own co-pay! (My former dentist made us pay in full @ time of appointment and then wait for reimbursement!) The kids are thrilled with the Treasure Chest and my wife and I look forward to maintaining our six month schedule with their six day a week appointment availability! We would definitely recommend Dr. Samford and Dr. Brewer to anyone looking for a dentist in the Hwy 280 area!‎

After one visit my spouse said find us another dentist, I do not like this place. She said she felt like she was being pushed by a used car salesman to buy the most expensive/extra services. I also had a problem with a more expensive procedure being performed without discussion when a choice could have been possible. Another problem with trying to force sell extra services over and above my insurance coverage limits. This place may be fine for some people but I cannot recommend them.‎

My wife and I have been going to Double Oak Mountain Family Dentistry for 5 years now. Dr. Samford and his staff go above and beyond to make sure every visit is as painless and comfortable as possible. We have even moved to the other side of town and continue to go to Double Oak Mountain Family Dentistry for all of our dental needs.‎

I found Double Oak Mountain Family Dentistry on the recommendation of a friend when I was looking to find a new dentist in the Birmingham/ Highway 280 area. As a person who has long suffered from "white coat syndrome", a good dentist and hygeniest that I trust has been hard to find. Thankfully, Dr. Samford and his staff at DOMFD have made things very comfortable for this difficult patient! They are friendly, professional and excellent at what they do....and, they have a nice new (and very clean!) office. I have had a lot of work done there over the last 4 or 5 years from replacement of childhood crowns, fillings, general cleanings to whitenings and have been very impressed with the quality of the work. The replacement crowns were even carefully matched to my other teeth, hiding the fact that I have had so much work done! So, a big thanks to the DOMFD team for all they do. I recommend checking them out if you are in the area. I have never been more confident in my smile!‎
