I loved it!
I'm new to the area and had heard of Doris Italian Market so decided to give it a try. That address listed above is outdated, though. They moved to Sunrise. It's on Sunset Strip and Nob Hill. Friends of mine who used to shop at the Plantation location told me that the new Sunrise location is a major upgrade... so I decided to check it out, even though it is a bit father for me. I went in today and was really impressed. The produce, the prepared food, the bakery (I have quite the sweet tooth...), everything was fresh and looked delicious. Another thing I thought was really refreshing was how nicely decorated this place was. The walls are painted and designed with all of these Italian details and pictures. It was unlike anything I've ever seen at a grocery store. It gave the place a really nice, cozy atmosphere. Also, I noticed that the prices were very reasonable, which was a pleasant surprise. I am excited to start shopping here and highly recommend this place!

Not Fresh by Z. G. at InsiderPages
Unfortunately my experience was not a good one. At first I thought only the baked goods were not fresh. I stopped in from across the plaza @ Doctors office. Well, I went all the way home just to find out that my ham was slimy and stinky and had to drive all the way back. I guess the bread that I took a bite of should have alerted me to the freshness of the other items. The bakery staff made me feel as if I was bothering them. However the staff at the meat counter were friendly.
