Customer Service is more important then product!
I have nothing negative to say about the products! I don't know anyone who cares about products a place is selling when the people selling it are rude!

My experience: My mother and I walk in looking for baby bedding. We were not greeted or offered help until we were almost out the door. They had at least 3 clerks on hand at the time. Which I find to be ridculous.

Once we were approached, the woman was less the helpful and very rude to both myself and my mother. She implied that I was going to steal from the store and corrected myself and mom when we spoke. We were looking for a particular type of nursery decor and when we asked her if she had any she said no. Even seconds after speaking to her we found 3 items that matched our needs.

We left and went to Nest and Cot a block away. Our experience there was WONDERFUL! One clerk in the store and she was amazing!

Doodles lost a custom bedding order to Nest and Cot because of the staff. I am sure they are able to provide the same bedding that I ordered at the other store but not with nearly as much class!

Worst Baby store
Not only does the owners treat their customers badly- they treat their staff badly too. While working at this store I became pregnant- notified the owners and then felt like I was being mis treated. Considering my height before I was pregnant I was the go to girl to hang things high- sometimes by use of a ladder. The owner asked me to hang things after I told her I was pregnant and she gave me grief when I told her I would not do it. They also told me that they would with hold my pay if I did not sign a write up. I witnessed them bad mouth their customers , and their return policy is ludicrous. Trying to make amends I called the store months later to see if they had any special occasion dresses for my daughter- they told me that I was not welcome in the store.

worst cust.serv. ever-RUDE
I do not know how this place stays in business, i have been there several times as i am hosting a baby shower and every instance where interaction was to be had between myself and an employee was disastrous. I was an inconvenience for the staff, and when i mentioned this to the owner she conceeded and basically said that i could take my business elsewhere and that they were extremely busy. Well, i wanted to let every one know i did take my business elsewhere-Thank you Bering's children's dept(manager is a delight to work with on special order items) and to the manager at doodles who was so rude you-lost out on $1200 of my business and the 30 attendees at our shower. Hope your attitude changes since you do not advertise.Word of mouth could end up being your demise:(

One word :RUDE!
It never occured to me to read the reviews on a baby store before heading over to get ready for my baby. The store is cute, thougth over crowded and a bit over priced, but that is fine it's a boutique after all. The owner and some employees are so rude and unwilling to help that you just get so turned off and want to turn back and leave. The owner is extremely argumentative and just generally makes you feel very uncomfortable. it is a baby store for heavens sake, and this woman knows nothing about customer service, or even basic communications skills! One truly wonders how she can stay in business?I predict this store will close down as Bellini and others have , due to the terrible way they have treated people. You can't run a business based on cute stuff alone. There are many people that would never give this woman their business or step foot in her store. Trust me , know one has anything nice to say about this place.Just ask people who have been there! I thought it was just me at first , or that i misunderstood,or that i am pregnant and just sensitive. it turns out there are many other peole that have had really upsetting and bad experiences with this store.
Always trust that reviews will have some truth to them. Why would anyone write nasty untrue reviwes about a baby store? I will certainly read more reviwes from now on and certainly be a more resposible citizen by voicing my opinion and writing reviews, good and bad. No one should be treated like this!

There are other places to shop with better service.
I recently talked to a very dear friend that spent many hours registering at Doodles for her first baby shower . When shower guest were at the store trying to purchase gifts from her registery the store was unable to access the registry. When my friend called to let them know that her friends were unable to access her registery (not upset - just trying to let them know there was a problem and it needed to be corrected) the owner was very rude and disrespectful. She informed my friend that they had bigger problems than her registry and she would be happy to delete her registry right then and my friend didn't have to shop at her store.

Personally, I am going to take the owners advice and not shop at her store as well as tell all of my friends. I know that there are stresses involved with owning a business, but without customers, you won't be in business.

As far as the owners review defending herself.... not everyone can be wrong - there must be something to this if there are that many complaints.
