I am amazed by the reviews listed. I brought my therapy dog to Dog House Inn (on several occasions). My last experience finalized my choice to never bring my pet there again. First, I was greeted with a quick grab of my dog's leash without a thought towards transitioning into their facility. I had to redirect the staff and communicated my dogs special needs and items before the leash exchange. When I arrived back from vacation, I was told that my dog was out playing however as I entered into the back facility I saw my dog left in a cage without her toys nor blanket (Isolated). The staff's face expressed a shocked look. The staff communicated that her toys and food were missing and attempted to give me items from another animal. I helped search in several crates for my dog's blanket, which had another dogs hair all over it. As I approached the cage my dog was in, she appeared to be in a trance (frozen and zombie like). The staff asked that I stand away from the cage) while the staff attempted to call my dog out of the cage. I then began, it took me three times to call my dog's name for her to move and respond. I commented to staff. Staff informed me that my dog had urinated in her crate and had a hard time acclimating. I never recieved a call of concern from staff. My dog has never 'made an accident' in the house or on her things EVER. My dog - the therapy dog- growled at a male staff member as he walked by. WEIRD behavior from my dog and UNACCEPTABLE care from staff. I have not returned since.
