The Diplomat is a very swanky place to stay if you are ever in The Miami area. The have several different ammenities to choose from. The offer spa service, nannie's, limo's etc. It is very, very expensive though. It is not for the average working person. Very pretty, clean, and the staff are wonderful.

FABULOUS! They were amazing, the room was clean, the staff was exceptional and the restaraunts were to die for! oh! and the pool! wow!

great atmosphere, friendly staff. uses old strip waxing method which is more painful also my eyebrows are 2 different shapes - sloppy work.
the facial was ok. 20% tip is included which doesn't allow tipping for the actual service received

This spa would not have received this fairly high review if my friend and I had not been compensated for the horrible experience we had there. Both of us went for facials, and without getting into it, we were treated by the assistant manager at the desk like we were bums off the street who had no business being there. In all fairness, the woman who did our facials was quite lovely and competent, but what transpired at the onset was like a comedy of errors. When we reported this to the manager in a letter, she admitted it was beyond belief what we went through and comped us the facials. She said she and her staff could not believe what we went through that day and it was almost funny.

I must say the lunch was excellent, the pool area very relaxing, and the manager did the right thing. I would go back based on this.

Oh, this place is so beautiful, even if it is extremely expensive. The room we stayed in was drop-dead gorgeous, I was in love with it and refused to leave. This is a very romantic hotel. The beds here are extremely comfortable, the Heavenly beds at Westin or whatever can't even compare to them. The bathroom was great too. Everything here was awesome.
