Did you know that there are only a few therapists in San Diego County that specialize in alcohol related aftercare treatment? Diane R Conklin LCSW is one of the few. Her specialty includes both adults and adolecents.

Located in a very nice residential neighborhood of Lakeside, Ca., Diane's office is very quiet, comfortable, and unlike any other therapist's office I have been in. It is an easy place to unwind and share whatever it is that's going on in your head.

The first visit was more of an assessment visit and we discussed general issues. Diane gave me some literature to read and a couple homework assignments. The second visit was a little more emotional as we touched upon some core issues. I was given more literature and more homework assignments which I later realized were actually tools I could use instead of alcohol therapy.

I truly believe the help that was given to me by Diane was benificial and not a waste of money. My insurance covered all but the $20.00 co-pay which was a lot less money than I spent on alcohol per week. To date, I am still sober and my life is better than I could have ever imagined. I would definitely recommend Diane's help with any issues you may have in this area of your life.
