I loved the selection, I loved the atmosphere, and i have been going to 1440 for over 6 years for everything snowboard. But the other day i walk in after i had just purchased some gloves the day. I walk in to return them waiting in like for about 15 minuets, cause this idiot in line didnt know anything about snowboard, i could see the guy trying to keep his cool and i totally respected that. any way i go up next and just say hey man i lost my receipt, but can i return these gloves. hes says "right now youll only get 30 % back". i said "why ?" he said "we just had our holiday sale and everything was 30 % off" i said, "but i paid full pr.." "PROVE IT !!! NEXT". he just yelled prove it. not "im sorry sir since you dont have prove i cant give you a full refund" or "if you could bring in a receipt i could give you a full refund" i was livid... i grabbed my gloves told him to shut his f*ggot fat ass up. these people are ...

Ok, So I have been inside a lot of skate / snow shops before and I expected so much better when I walked in today. I was looking for three gifts and the set up of the floor plan is the worst. I couldn't find anything that I wanted and the selections was not that good. This shop has so much potential to be a great shop and they have a lot of room too. I just don't get it? The staff was about as helpful as I expected in oakland, the worst! Why? This place could be so much better. If you go be prepared to spend way more then on Dogfunk.com or Tilleys.com go there first. I would love to support my local skate board shop but this place just sucks.‎

Destination 1440 has an abundant of snowboard/ski equipment and gear. Their prices are near MSRP, but every now and then, there are monthly sales which justify the product with the price. They also offer snowboard/ski tune-ups including hot wax, and filling in deep scratches on the boards base. The staff was very eager to answer all my snowboard questions before I made an purchase since sizing of the board is extremely important.
