Mom's party food!
This place is just what Addison needed. When you are in the mood for a casual, fun atmosphere, great food and fast, courteous service, go to Desi Wok. The buffet is fantastic and a great value at 7.95. These people know how to cook the food the way your mom would cook it if she were about to host a party!
For my wife and I (since we have no family in this state) eating here is like tasting a little bit of home.

Amazing Indian Food at AMAZING Prices
Whether you are looking for the most amazing Indian lunch buffet or just the best Indian food available in Dallas, LOOK NO FURTHER! The food at Desi Wok is by far better than any Indian food I have had in a long time. The Naan bread is always freshly cooked, even if you do the buffet they will bring you fresh bread to your table!!!!!

Also, Desi Wok won't strain your wallet like other Indian restaurants, I eat dinner there for less than 10 bucks with drink all the time and the buffet costs about 10 even with drink but either way you NEVER LEAVE HUNGRY.

Great Indian Food for Great Price
I went to Desi for the first time not long after they opened, looking for something besides the tired old things on the strip in Addison. I found it in Desi. That night, unfortunately, I only had time to get an order of Blazing Noodles to go. Today, I made it a point to go back there for lunch when I would have more time to spend and sit down to eat. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that they had added a buffet. This allowed me to try several things I had never had before. I love indian food, but it tends to be a bit pricey. Spending all of $7.95 on a great buffet, I had some of the most delicious food I have had in a long time. With the addition of the Tandoori Chicken and Naan being brought to my table fresh and hot, this trip could not have been any better....oh wait...yes it could...I came back 3 hours later and grabbed another plate to go!

Now, being born and bred in TX, I am used to seeing beef, chicken, and pork on the menu. Today I had a chance to taste the goat on the buffet. SPECTACULAR!! Also, the dessert...I don't even have words....warm, moist, chewy...YUM!

Sadly, these days you really do not get the chance to see the people preparing your food (and in most cases you don't want to). One of my favorite things about Desi is that I can see the food as it is prepared, and I have gotten the chance to talk to the chef himself a few times. Now whether he goes with my suggestions or not, he definitely heard what I have to say, and I truly appreciate that. The chef is a class act, and I would love the chance to sit and pick his brain about the intricacies of indian food, and about food in general. You can tell that these people truly love what they have put together for you, and that they truly stand behind their food. This is not fine dining, but the food may as well be.

Bottom line...Desi is DEFINITELY one you should not pass up. Even if you have never had indian food, take the time and check this place out. I promise it is worth the stop.

youll be surprised -
I live by Desi Wok - i started eating there after their grand opening. One would think this might be a fastfoood Indian establishment (from the afforable prices) ...bit its NOT - ive tried all the Indian restaurants in Dallas, and this place certainly stacks with the best of them. THeir Tikki Marsala is fantastic ...They just started a lunch buffet which gives you an array of dishes to choose from. They keep an eye out to ensure each container is consistently replenished and warm. Ive been to many a a Indian restaurants that let their buffet deplete down to dwindles while the food gets cold. One of the perks of Desi Wok is the owner truly cares about your experience and even walks around to fill up your bread basket, etcc...There are too many places where the owner could care less as long as you PAY on the way out the door. Be sure to check this place out - Good food, VERY affordable prices....
