I've had nothing but good experiences at this doctor. They were very helpful and knowledgeable about all the extra shots and tests required to get our kids into CA schools and camps. Very accommodating on refilling prescriptions on short notice, and a great front-desk staff. The kids love the fish in the waiting room. Sick/Well sides of the office. Great convenience of walk-in hours in the mornings and appts on Saturday. Not sure how "babies1101" had such a bad experience, but ours were always great.

I really had a bad experience with this clinic. The first time I tried to make an appt with them for my 9 month old baby, they gave me a hard time. The told me they were going to call me but they never did until my husband had to call them himself. Then, on her first visit, the doctor who saw her was very impersonal. For a pediatrician, you would expect him to be a little patient for a crying baby, but he was rude enough to tell me that he could not concentrate and to make her stop crying if possible. Then the next time I called them was for my baby's skin problem. I just wanted them to give me a referral to a dermatologist and the nurse that I spoke to on the phone told me that she will call me in a few hours. Again, I did not get a call back. So we had to come in at 8:30am the following morning to see a doctor and get a referral. I was telling the receptionist that I was supposed to get a call from the nurse yesterday and their appointment person was rude to tell me that since I was already there I don't need to complain and just wait to be seen by a doctor! And what didn't surprise me anymore was the female doctor that saw my daughter. This doctor was a different one from the first. Again, very impersonal. She walked in with her laptop, looked at my daughter's back and legs for about 5 seconds and that was it. She told me that we don't need to see a dermatologist even though I asked for it! I'm making sure that I have to write this comment for someone considering this group. After I write this comment, I will never go back to them. We had Rose City Pediatrics Group before and they were AWESOME! Unfortunately, we had to change insurance and they dont accept our current insurance. So again, I'm searching for a new pediatrician for my daughter.

A really fantastic office. There is a well side and a sick side, the waiting room is very nicer, the receptionists are delightful, the nurse is great and the Doctors are a dream, no one wears a white coat which is so helpful for my daughter. Dr. Anderson gets down to my daughter's level and says hi, talks to her, has got to know her and seems to genuinely care about why we are there. Not once has my daughter cried there and she used to be almost hysterical with our last peditrican.

My children have been patients at Descanso Pedriatrics since birth. Although Dr. Mabie will always be our pediatrician of choice, in an emergency, the rest of the staff has always exceeded our expectations.
