The last mom and pop camera shop stands the test of time
Well the internet killed the camera retail shop. The big guy Ritz is dead. Palm Beach Photo is gone. You can shop internet or you can go to a real live camera shop. it's a great place to hang out and try out the many bags, tripods, monopods, flashes, bodies etc. The idiot who purchased a minolta film camera is not the typical experience I have had here for over 30 years. Chris and the Jim's are great guys. If you act like an idiot you will be treated like one and I know that the place is not perfect but I would give it at least 4 stars. You can always tell a shill review when its so gushingly perfect. Delray Camera is crowded and way to small but definetly a place to go for Nikon gear. One of the pros that work there is pretty cranky but that's his personality. The black dog is a gem so bring him a snack. If you need to develop film it's the place to go. Old photos to DVD and stuff like that. For weddings the Jim in the back is great and does amazing work even if he shoots Canon he is still a great guy that has decades of knowldege. So you can go to Adorama or BH but if you want a local store to stay in business then go there an buy something or it too will go the way of Ritz, Wolf etc and your left buy ing your gear at the big box or on the internet. Don't buy gear on eBay unless I'm selling it.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!
I was a photography student at FAU and needed a 35mm camera for a 6 week summer class. I went to Delray Camera Shop and asked the man working behind the counter if he could please give me the best deal on a camera considering I only needed it for 6 weeks. He began showing me the used cameras that were for sale and convinced me to buy a Pentax K1000. I had never used a 35mm camera before and was completely clueless on how to even take a picture with it. He showed me exactly what I needed to do and assured me the "used" camera was "in great shape". He charged me $145 and after shooting 2 rolls of film, I got into the blackroom at school only to realize my "$145, in great shape camera" was defective/BROKEN!!!!! I went online to Ebay and found the exact same camera for $35! Not only did he rip me off but he sold me a broken camera! BEWARE!!!
