All About the Money
I had used this clinic for a few years, and overall I was happy, until recently. I have an older dog that was tested for heartworm by Dr. Bell, and though she "Kia" has no symptoms was told she had it. I did the antibiotic treatment indicated, and the heartguard regimen from then on. I was told that the full treatment to eradicate the heart worms would likely end her, and since she was old that I should just look for any progressive symptoms. Since then each time I have attempted to refill the heartguard I was told that they needed to do more bloodtests, which of course is more money for them. This makes no sense at all, for (1) she is too old for a treatment that could end her, (2) she has no symptoms, (3) heartguard is preventive, and accordingly would not do her any arm if she did, or did not have the worms anymore. The fact that this clinic refuses to provide the heartguard without more money for tests is a clear indicator that this vet, like so many others, is all about the money, not treating animals appropriate for a fair value.

Re: Most traumatic experience ever! by Jon C. at InsiderPages
As a customer that was also there a couple of months back and remembers the incident, I have to comment that I did feel great sympathy for you having to get your pet put down and it must have been horrible to be told you could not take her home.

But I also felt great sympathy for the staff member who was bitten and who was extremely worried about the risk of contracting rabies as the cat was displaying symptoms (listlessness, aggressiveness, etc.) that might have indicated a possible infection.

I'm sure they explained to you that state law requires any animal be tested for rabies in this way if they bite someone and that they had no choice but to send your cat's body in for testing. Rabies is a truly horrible disease and I wouldn't wish even the fear of contracting it on anyone.

Most traumatic experience ever! by Kim T. at InsiderPages
This place will not be getting a star rating from me!!! I took my 18 year old cat to this place to have him put to sleep. He was all of 5 or 6 lbs. He was a house cat, and for the last couple of weeks did nothing but sleep and eat very little, he didn't go outside. I wanted to be in the room when he was put to sleep so I was told that they would have to take him in back to put a catheter in his leg so that the medicine would go into his vein. After about 3 minutes, one of the staff opened the door and as if he was current on his rabies shots. I said no, he's 18 and a house cat and has not been out side for quite a while. Why? I asked. And was told well he just bit the girl that was trying to put in the catheter. I said, your telling me that two people couldn't hold down a 5-6 lb. cat?? And then I was informed that they would have to confiscate his body to give to animal control to do a test for rabies. I asked if I could have him back after so I could take him home to bury him, and was told very bluntly- No, they cut off his head and dissect his brain! I didn't need to hear that !!! No sympathy what so ever on there part! DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS TO THIS PLACE !

Del Paso is my 1st choice by Leo D. at InsiderPages
I had my cat spayed at the clinic, the staff made me feel welcome as a new customer and they helped with my paperwork. I spayed my cat at the clinic, it was really around what it costs to spay a cat, this can be hard to find. With the money i saved i got worm pills for her. There is also a grooming supply store adjacent to the clinic, though I didn't go in. Altogether super, also spaying your cat is super get it done.
