compassion and true assistance...
I referred myself and son to Daymark and have used them for about 3 yrs now, after I lost the vision in my right eye, then promptly fell off my bed breaking my right leg and right forearm...all within 3 months of one another. I was a productive professional, but those 20 months of rehab and multiple surgeries (17 of them) had me angry, depressed, anxious.
The whole staff is WONDERFUL! They know how to triage EMERGENT need or routine...often just by looking at my face. The therapists are all top notch and appear to love or at least like their work. Daymark has been taken over from when it was Behavioral Health and I see and feel the good changes! My teenage son as really benefitted from services there, also, on several levels. I have worked in the ER at a local hospital and worker with some of the therapists and was concerned about professional privacy (regardless of HIPPA). I now feel totally comfortable in being there.
The ONLY Negative is that Daymark is overwhelmed with clients and when you make an appt it is often a month or more out. It's a govt thing, not Daymark's. The healthcare system is messed up and people with no isurance are pretty stuck. I am thankful that for the time being, my son has Medicaid and can keep going for the counseling he was hesitant to go to and now loves! I hope when healthcare gets better, Daymark will be even better than it's excellent self!
