Dave's Appliance will rip you off!
Warning consumers: Steer clear of Dave's Appliance!
I checked the consumer advocate's ( 3 b's )website only after I had done business with Dave's Appliance, and I found numerous unresolved complaints against them. I filed my own complaint with the 3 B's (still unresolved), and I also filed a compaint with Contact 6 Fox news (we will see what happens).
Here is my story: I have a manufacuterer's warrantly on my glass top range, which cracked recently. The manufacturer authorized a replacement glass top and gave me the name of Dave's Appliance to deliver and install the new glass top. I called Dave's Appliance back in the beginning of April 2008. It is now the end of June 2008, and Dave's Appliance still has not delivered or installed the glass top. They have given me numerous excuses as to why they haven't installed it yet (forgot to order it, car accident, they broke the replacement, really busy). They have also scheduled three separate dates for installation, but have "no showed" on each date--not only have they "no showed", but they didn't have the common courtesy to even call me. I had to call them and ask why they missed their scheduled time. Each time I called the receptionist said she would check with the installer and get back to me. Well, she NEVER got back to me. I am 40 years old, and I have never dealt with such an unethical and incompetent company.
There are plenty of area appliance servicers, so save yourself time and money--don't use Dave's Appliance! Check the BBB's website if you want proof.
