i do not know where to begin. Let us see,.... the classes were ok only that the kids were not learning anything and even the last week before recital the kids did not know their steps. And by the way, i am not talking about 3-4 years old. this class was 6-7 and up so definitely tha kids were capable of remembering the steps. the teacher very rarely tried to correct them, so if they rushed,jumped, walked wriggled acrossed the floor "they did a great job".

RECITAL ....oh yes! i wish i could tell this to every mom.
1. 3-4 hours long
2. rehearsal and recital the same day(CHEAP)
3. 55 some songs, 50 were teachers performances
4. scantily and shabbily dressed teachers, kept pulling down her micro mini shorts while dancing. I am fat, my mom is fat BUT we love to dance and KNOW what will look good on us ON STAGE .
5. 50 songs and performances of the SAME TYPE
6. abrupt song endings
7. no professional comparing
8. i can go on and on .... but in the end i am just glad i saved $30 not buying the recital DVD.
PLEASE IF U CAN LOOK FOR SOME OTHER DANCE SCHOOL, DO THAT!!

The annual recital is a joke. They only focus on the instructors performing not the students. The recital was 3 hours long with the instructors/ alumni performing 20 acts out of 54. Another 8 were their "star" students. Almost all the acts preformed by the instructors were the same lyrical dance to different songs. Even before intermission I had to keep leaving the auditorium when the teachers performed so I wouldn't gouge my eyes out before my daughter was on stage.

I cut short my girls' summer dance camp at Dance Art Academy after discovering a student was injured from stepping on a nail sticking out of the floor. Some nails were covered up with paper. The studio owner gave the explanation that this particular back room was not part of her permanent studios but just a rented space due to the summer camp overflow. She said they swept the floors before the camps began and they now fixed the nail issues by placing a wood block over one of the nails and removing the nail head that the other student had gotten hurt on. I hadn't gone back to confirm this but my issue is this; if knowledge of the nails existed by the fact they were covered up with paper, why would you even expose this potential hazard to young kids and continue using this room? Not a safe environment for the young students nor for the teenager instructors.

this dance studio was chosen because of the friendly staff...I lucked out on the teachers..they are absolutely awesome bending over backwards to make every learning experience a pleasnt one...Everybody here is extremely professional. I just couldn't ask for more!

Dance Arts Academy has an exceptionally friendly staff...The teachers are very professional working well with students of all ages! There is a variety of classes as well as class times. The experience at this studio will keep me and my children coming back for years!
