I had some time to spare before a VIP event and decided to stop in DSW to look for bridesmaid heels. I had good luck shopping in the OC with buying 4 pairs on a prior shoe expedition and perhaps I could have the same luck at this location.

Walked in and there were aisles and aisles of footwear and a small section dedicated to accessories.

I was disappointed with the limited about of silver shoes on hand. I was even more disappointed that the silver shoes were gauty-lookin. I wouldn't torture my fellow bridesmaids like that!!!

I perused more aisles and came across a pair of Coach black patent leather wedges (reg. $170) that were on sale for $80. I have about a dozen pairs of Coach shoes and the brand could be a little funny - half of my collection are comfy and I do wear while the others are closet decor.

I did try on comparable (cheaper) wedges from different brands, but I kept coming back to the damn Coach wedges; therefore, I made the splurge...

Hopefully, I don't regret it after a night out on the town...

What can I say , maybe I do have a shoe fetish, this is the place to look for those fabulous deals under $40 ! The selection of last seasons offerings are just way too good of a deal to pass up :)

And this is a shoe-maven's haven! And mostly at good prices. I definitely recommend signing up for their DSW Rewards program- you get points (free money!) all the time and good reminders about sales, etc. I usually head straight to the back of the store to their clearance section. You can usually find some great deals here! Once I found a chocolate brown pair of Rocket Dogs clogs that were discounted to $11 and then I had a $10 off voucher from my points balance, so I paid like $2.14 (mostly tax). You can't do better than that! Anyway- my kids even don't mind tagging along because they have couches and TV's with sports on! :)

I love DSW!!! They have such a great selection of shoes and always have my size. There isn't anything to not love about this store.

This store is overwhelming to the shoe lovers senses. All the leather to touch and smell, one could easily spend the whole day looking at and trying on shoes! And the prices! Yay! ...
