You can't please everyone
This person above has listed a few things that are not actually true. The head light on his bike never needed to be touched by anyone for any reason. If we had lied to him, we would not have told him the low fuel light was overlooked. That was being brutally honest. As for the detailer that dropped the bike, the customer was notified immediately of the issue and all repairs were made to the bike at the cost of the service department. Nothing was tried to be covered up nor hidden from the customer. The issue was not trying to cover up the accident before the customer found out, it was how we were going to make this right with the customer to keep them happy. You can't please everyone, but we do try our best which is why there is only his comment listed at this time.

If you value your life or your bike choose another shop
I took my 2001 Suzuki SV650 into D&L in late March 2009 to repair 3 items:
1. To replace a bolt that fell out of the front right brake caliper
2. To put new fork seals, springs, and a different fork oil in the front tubes.
3. To repair my non-functioning low fuel light

It took three weeks and I was called to come and get my motorcycle. When I got home I realized that the bolt in the front right caliper had not been replaced (my number one reason for taking it to the shop). As I looked my motorcycle over I noticed two small pieces missing from my motorcycle (screws that hold headlight to frame and the pin that holds the speedo cable on the front fender). I called the dealership and they stated that they had done everything on my work order. When I asked them about my fuel light I was told by Antonio (shop foreman) that "it was inspected and no problems were found". Having owned my bike for 8 years I know that there was a problem and I knew that this shop had not paid very close attention to my repairs.

I immediately called Suzuki to register a complaint and took my motorcycle back to the shop for them to complete the repair. I spoke to the owner and he questioned the shop foreman as to why point #1 was not done. Antonio responded that it was "overlooked". The owner asked what was done to check the fuel light and Antonio stated there is fuel in the can and no way to check it. Being an amateur motorcycle repair man even I know that you drain the fuel out and inspect it. Once again this was admitted as an "overlooked" piece of the repair ticket (and one in which I was lied to about the completion of the repair).

2 of the 3 items I took my bike in to have repaired were overlooked. When I went back to retrieve my motorcycle a second time I witnessed the detail man drop a very expensive motorcycle on the ground and there was an ensuing conversation as to how they could fix it before he comes for his bike...in effect covering it up. I picked my motorcycle up and there was oil leaking from the front left fork. I had a pool of fluid in my truck as soon as I got home, so I took it back. The repairman stated that he noticed a pool of oil underneath it in the shop before they gave it to me. They knew my motorcycle had a problem and was leaking fluid after a repair they did and still gave me the bike.

All in all my repair timeframe lasted from the last week of March until the second week of June 2009.
