Best Little Ol' Bicycle Shop in Katy, Texas
I stumbled in to Cycle Spectrum in Katy, Texas looking to purchase a bicycle. Jason, the bike-tech/salesperson, did an awesome job in educating me on the options of the various styles of bicycles.
I checked out several bicycles, but I purchased the best bicycle I have ever owned. I love my Electra Bike Townie. This Townie is the most comfortable, coolest, hippest, and sweet bicycle that I have ever ridden.
Jason is the best "no pressure, no hard-sale" salesperson, who is committed to integrity and facts about bicycles and very friendly.
I have owned this Townie for over a month now, and I love just taking a brief ride to the post office or going on an intentional ride for exercise. Getting to ride my bicycle every day is a delight and rejuvenates feelings that I had when I was a child while riding a bicycle, i.e. anything is possible.
As an economic stimulus, the government should give everyone a check to purchase a Townie bicycle. This would provide the citizens of the USA with an overwhelmingly benefit of health and revitalization of a transformed lifestyle that would impact in the well-being of our country.
Go purchase a Townie and know that you are not only helping yourself but also helping the economic status of the USA.

Go Buy A Townie
Let me be clear: I have never enjoyed riding bikes. I feel like I look dumb on a bike, I'm afraid of falling down, and being on a bike for more than two or three minutes HURTS . So, imagine my surprise that trying a different kind of bike would change my mind about everything.

I bought an Electra Townie at Cycle Spectrum. Best decision ever. I now have a ride that allows me to always put me feet flat on the ground, sit upright (no back or wrist pain!) and a big, fat seat that doesn't make me feel like...well, feel like I've been riding a bike.

I've had my bike for two months. Two life-changing months. I quit driving. I shut my car off. There are still days that I need to drive my car (oh how I hate those days) for work-related stuff- I'm not up to biking to Kingwood, for example, but a trip down the road to the grocery store? Sure. I've got a basket on my bike. And a bell. How much fun is that? Got my bike, my gear, and a lot of encouragement from the friendly peeps at Cycle Spectrum.

USE EXTREME CAUTION
The Better Business B cites the address on file as the same for a company called bikesdirect, who are extremely terrible. They also have the same owner.

Both companies have unsatisfactory rating by the Better Business B

No Pressure, Great Value, Fantastic Service
I love my bicyle. It wasn't the bicycle I wanted when I walked into the shop, but after talking to my salesperson, Jason, and assesing what I would need the bike to do, I decided on a slightly less expensive model than the one I initially thought would be "the one" for me.

It wasn't a high pressure sale, my salesperson was really conversational and asked a lot of questions that I should've thought to ask myself. The service end seems to be great too. Prices were better at this little shop than the other giant bike shops on Mason, and there are all kinds of great bike accesories to customize your ride. I'd highly recommend Cycle Spectrum.

Good location by Madnira S. at InsiderPages
Cycle Spectrum is located close to the schools of the region so it makes a convenient stop-by for my son and other kids, but there isn't much to recommend in terms of price.
