we were satisfied with Curves until my daughter got sick and
we were satisfied with Curves until my daughter got sick and could no longer continue going there. We got a note from her doctor that was given to one of the employees there, but we NEVER heard back from the owner in regards to this. Also, Curves CONTINUED to take out the monthly charge from her checking account even though she could no longer physically go AND they continued to take out the monthly charge AFTER her contract had expired making it difficult for her to get her medicines because these payments caused her to be over drawn at her bank. We have contacted Curves International and filed a complaint against this Curves. The last conversation we had with a Curves employee in Ponchatoula was met with RUDENESS and made her feel that she wasn't valued as a Curves member. There is simply NO REASON for anyone to EVER be treated with rudeness when dealing with the public. Like I said, we started out being 100% satisfied with this Curves until she got sick and could no longer attend. They could have been understanding, honored the doctor's note and released her from this contract AND IMMEDIATELY stopped the monthly drafts, but now we are having to "fight" to get them to stop these drafts so that, maybe next month, she won't be overdrawn having to pay the draft PLUS overdraft charges and maybe she'll have the funds to get her medicines with no problem. We are currently waiting to hear from Curves and if we get a positive response back from them, I'll be glad to let everyone know that this was simply a sad, unfortunate misunderstanding unbeknowst to the owner of Curves.
