For a swanky place, it's ok by Jonathan Y. at InsiderPages
My parents really like this place, but I find it only ok. For instance, the Garlic Crab is really kind of disappointing, as well as the garlic noodles (horrifically overpriced if you ask me).

The Baked Alaska is also a 'merely ok' dessert. Overall, if you want to wait for an ok dining experience, this is place to come.

love this place by melanie l. at InsiderPages
garlic crab is my favorite type of crab to eat here. and you have to try the garlic noodles. this restaurant is a high scale version of thanh long. so if you feel like having a nice dinner with quality food, you should try here.

Crustacean is a crusty dirty place.
I read a bad review, and should have heeded the warning. We got there and the smell was horrible, seating poor, view poor, we got up and walked out. I eat out every night, and this place is bad. The health dept. needs to check it out. You have to be hard up to eat here.

Good Seafood, Robust Flavors, Warm Setting
I understand that Crustacean did the upscale Vietnamese seafood thing first, but I don't know if they're still doing it best. With places like PPQ, Ana Mandara, Le Cheval, Slanted Door, The House, and Straits Cafe offering similar dishes at lower prices, Crustacean is now just one of many. With all that having been said, I loved the food and thought the service was good. The wine was good and not too overpriced. Our appetizers were just okay, the fried starters were very ordinary, but the vietnamese seafood salad was really good. For entrees we had a crab, shaking beef and sea bass. All were delicious, fresh and interesting. The mango cheesecake was a great way to end our meal.

My Favorite!!! by Dottie C. at InsiderPages
Crustaceans & Thanh Long are highly recommended by myself and so many others! I am a seafood lover and am very picky, but I do have to say I am fortunate to be a Bay Area resident to be able to go eat at either restaurant more than a visitor can. The garlic noodles, crab & prawns I highly recommend! Crab puffs are great too! An experience one will not forget! Crustaceans tonight sounds like a plan! Enjoy! You won't regret it!Dottie Cober
