THE MOST UNPLEASANT EMPLOYEE I HAVE EVER EXPEREINCED
I saw a review before going where one person described the staff as "Snooty". I can't think of a better word for the kind of attitude of the blonde woman at the desk for people bringing in clothes to sell.

However, "Snooty" isn't quite accurate. The employee is offensively (and unnecessarily ... as I was the only person waiting and on 'the list' .... so she couldn't have just been 'having a frantic moment) "Snooty" projected outwards.

I noticed it immediately and can alway make such a person calm and friendly. I am a super nice guy.

This woman seemed to get more upset the longer I patiently waited while she tried to find something to do to 'look busy' when there was none and seemed very disappointed when she finally went to check 'the list' of who was next, and there was nobody on the list, I had already put my name on, and nobody even coming in she could use to re-scrutinize her 'list'.

I patiently waited, and despite her repeated 'NOT INTERESTED IN WHAT YOU HAVE' references, I waited and insisted she shift her eyes down and actually look at the very nice clothing I had neatly laid out while she kept me waiting.

She never actually looked at the items I had until I held the up, almost forcing her to look, that she glanced and said "none of them" without looking down at the counter.

It wouldn't and didn't bother me if I had brought in items that they did not feel were right for resale (which I even told her), but the attitude was so offensive, had she actually been interested in any of the flawless Armani, Boss, D&G plus items I had, I think I would have changed my mind and not sold to that store because of the way they treat people.

To be fair, some employees were very very friendly and helpful when I had gone in a few days earlier to ask what type of products, labels etc... they might be interested in.

But I suspect the blonde woman with the 'snooty' attitude is not just an employee, but a higher level worker/owner with emotional problems, which affect the business ... based on other strangers reviews I have seen referring to the attitude of employees at Crossroads in West Hollywood.

Great place to trade by Ian K. at InsiderPages
I love going here with some of my old clothes and trade them in for what they have at the store. At first I was a little skeptical about wearing someone else's clothes but the clothes here are in top shape and very fashionable.

Great Weinhouse Clones
If you're selling couture don't waste your time at Crossroads Trading. The buyers don't know their Gautier from a hole in the ground. Continue down the street to the more upscale resale store.

Poor Men's Selection, Trade-In Prices are a Rip-Off
The men's selection is slim and unimpressive. The ratio is about 90% womens clothes to 10% mens clothes. The selection that is there is definitely above average for thrift clothes. Be warned that Crossroads is not a bargain in terms of mens clothing. They do carry a variety of premium brands but the prices are still high given their age.

Be careful when trading in clothes. I traded in several pairs of Lucky Brand Jeans (ret. $100+ ea.) and only got 10% of the retail value back. You're better served by selling your clothes on eBay. There are also other stores such as Buffalo Exchange that will pay you more. Also be warned that they will only take premium labels. Mainstream labels such as Levi's and less commercially known labels will not be accepted.

Overall the store is a disappointment. I suggest heading to Melrose to do your thrift diving or some of the other large thrift stores on La Brea in Hollywood. Crossroads is still a throwback to the days of overpriced "vintage" stores. You will find better variety and better prices elsewhere. Just because it says "used" does not mean that it's a bargain.
