When you walk by Creston Optical on Eighth Avenue, you may not realize you are walking by a place to have your eyes examined. Their windows are so artfully done you don't even connect them with eyeglasses! I've seen everything from a wonderful display of African art to an homage to Audrey Hepburn. But, these windows did make me curious to see what was happening inside and I became a patient of theirs about two years ago. They do a very thorough eye exam and they have a wonderful selection of eyeglasses - many designed in Europe. They are also excellent to deal with regarding insurance - they make it very easy for their clients by dealing directly with the insurance company and saving you the paperwork.
