Exotic burgers...
Came here with the Friday Night Fun gang.Decided to come here during their Happy Hour from 9-11p.
The establishment is smaller than I thought. You walk up and order your burger and they bring your order out to you. There's a little bar area set up by the ordering counter. Luckily, we found a couple tables next to each other for our party of 7. Service was friendly and helpful.
Some of us decided to order several "different" burgers and split them among us - while others decided to stick with the usual, non-exotic burgers. We also shared some onion rings and sweet potato fries. The onion rings were really good. I could do without the SPF.
The adventurous foodies ordered the buffalo, gator, venison and wild boar. Here's my take:
-Buffalo: My fav out of the 4. Lean and tasted like an actual burger. I didn't use the horseradish sauce it came with since I don't like horseradish.
-Gator: I wasn't a fan. The smell really put all of us off, honestly. I'm not into Indian food, and there was some type of curry substance that topped the burger.
-Venison: Gamey. Not bad. I grew up eating deer since my Dad hunted, so it was ok.
-Wild Boar: The pear topping threw me on a loop. The sweetness took away from the actual taste of the burger. Therefore, I can't really comment on the taste of the meat, but I still ate it.
I think our carnivore adventures came to an end tonight... Well, for the meantime, I think we'll stick to the traditional burgers for the next FNF...
