Great views, but overcooked (!?) Halibut and Sea Bass!
Before dinner, my parents and I decided to have some cocktails in the bar. This may not have been such a great idea as service was slow and my martini, which was advertised as coming with "blue cheese olives" only came with a singular olive. Not a big deal, but when I pointed this out to the waitress she seemed very disinterested and said she didn't know what to tell me but that I could buy two more for a dollar. Had she seemed just a bit more concerned that might not have come out of her tip. However, the service in the restaurant was exceptional. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and attentive. However, both my halibut and my mother's sea bass were dry. This was really disappointing as I had really been looking forward to enjoying my locally caught fish. The sauces and sides made up somewhat as both dishes were very flavorful. Were I to choose again, I would go with the cioppino. Fresh seafood with just the right amount of spice. Very tasty. Overall, I was expecting much more. The Crab Catcher has a reputation for exceptional seafood, so when it is overcooked it is really disappointing.

Beautiful view and great food! by Roxanne L. at InsiderPages
I have been to the Crab Catcher once and I really enjoyed going there. I sat on the third floor balcony and it is overlooking the ocean and you can here the waves while eating. It has the perfect feel and gorgeous view while dining. I had the crab legs which were unbelievably good! They have reasonable prices seeing though it is a seafood restaurant it is going to be more than going to a burger place. The server we had was extremely helpful and top of everything we needed.

nice restaurant by K. Y. at InsiderPages
As far as formal dining goes, Crab Catcher is nice-- decor is dim but not dark/cave-like and there is a great view... if you can get close enough to it. I didn't get a sea-side view but from what I could see, it was nice. Ordered the calamari as appetizer and then soft shell crab as entree. My date ordered Alaskan crab legs and those were DELICIOUS. I have never had crab legs that good-- apparently they are never frozen and freshly shipped. Fantastic. The soft-shell crab was good but not out of this world. I hear they have a great happy hour as well.

Great Food by Jenny T. at InsiderPages
We went to the restaurant on our aniversary. We had to make reservations because it is an extremely busy restaurant. When we arrived there waiter greeted us right away. The menu was not large at all, which we prefer. The lobster bisque was delicious and the dressing on the salad was amazing. The service and the food were great.
