The facilities most recent survey was actually on 9/15/09 and we received only 6 deficiencies, the state average is 12. A copy of the state survey is available to any visitors who want to view it. We have a 22 sub-acute unit which has patients who are on ventilators and trachs. The sub acute has a dedicated staff of RNs, LVNs, RTs, Treatment Nurses, CNAs, RNAs as well as support services provided by physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, a dietitian, and other support services. The facility has been very successful weaning patients from ventilators and rehabilitating patients to lower levels of care (home, assisted living, or long term care). The facility also has an excellent wound care program and patients with stage 3 and stage 4 wounds come to receive treatment and healing. Therapy is currently 5 days but will be expanding to 7 days a week during this year. The facility also takes patients on wound vacs, IVs, TPN, and other clinically complex cases. The ...
