i don`t now what you you other people think but the quality and service was out standing . they treated with respect and value .personally i would recommend this shop to every one!!!!! And SHAWN was very Proessional and Caring do my needs .And the owner Jeff Umstead one of the nicest people

the work was down with out me saying to do it, it cost more then i was told ($2800), then the car broke down a week after my "new" transmission was put in. then i was told the car was damaged from driving it, even though i was told to ...

Cottman - DO NOT USE THEM!!!!‎
The Vehicle: 2001 Ford Escape Repair paid for: Transmission The vehicle was brought to Cottman Transmission to be fixed. The vehicle was originally brought to them in Feb 1st 2008. They returned the vehicle 5 days later on Feb 6th and said it was fixed. On Feb 8th the vehicle's repair broke again. This time they had the vehicle for 19 days. The vehicle was returned fixed on the 27th. March 1st the vehicle broke again and was returned to them on the 12th. This time the vehicle was at their shop for 38days. On April 18th the vehicle was returned fixed.The vehicle broke again on June 23rd. This time they had the vehicle for 84 days!!! The vehicle was returned in September. The vehicle broke again in November. We had to have a transmission line repaired out of town.(A transmission line that Cottman cut and hose-clamped instead of removing and/or replacing when they damaged it). A month later another transmission line that Cottman cut failed. Again it was repaired out of town. Several ...

Cottman Transmission Center - Never again‎
After reading the review about Cottmans in Emmaus, I can feel the pain of this guy. I also had a problem with Cottman, but it was the one in Hazleton, PA. My wifes transmission went and we took it to them and they told us it would cost $1500 and it would be done in 3 days. Well, they called and it seemed to run okay, for about 1 1/2 miles, then it went again. So this time he had it in the garage for about a week and told us that he needed an additional $500 for labor. My wife paid him and after that, we heard from them in about a week. They said it was because snow got up in the transmission and messed everything up . LOL. Anyway, we didnt hear from him after that conversation for about 4 days so my wife and I drove over to the shop and there was a note in her car, that was sitting in the parking lot, unlocked. The note said they they are unable to fix the car because they filed bankruptcy. So he left the car sit there with this note in it, unlocked and with no phone call. He just ...
