Im with you MYTEDYPAWS !!! by Rick B. at InsiderPages
Nea W. its sad to see how much of a cold hearted person you are, no respect for anyones feelings and you probably do work at the CSAH because you're a moron just like all of them there! First of all in an emergency situation you do not have a choice. you go to the closest possible facility you can get to. Vets are just people pretending to be doctors Board Certified Heatless, Liars, and Cheats . They dont know real medicine. You go to any real doctor and they will tell you the same thing vets are jokes. Only the exeptional vets are the ones that are there to truely help the animals. And another thing, in a vets office insurance is not accepted. You pay for all of it out of pocket. They postpone the animals death just to rack up the charges. The animal isnt going to tell. In a hospital or doctors office the insurance pays, but guess what, the doctors get about $1000 from a $23,000 surgery with insurance and the patient may have a $20 copay and the rest is as if it was never charged. So tell me something, Who would you like to say is getting screwed? Im also sure that Mytedypaws doesnt let her dog run around in the street. What if something had happened to your pet? I bet you wouldnt be saying anything. Maybe you should do a little research and get your information straight before you open your mouth and say something stupid again. Oh and try adopting pets instead off purchasing, your only supporting puppy mills and animal abuse when you purchase from local puppy stores. But apparently that must not bother you. Maybe try not having a pet if you cant afford to shop a publix too. I dont know, Just a suggestion.

nea w. must work at CSAH by ilovemy pet i. at InsiderPages
How typical to blame the patient - as if Mytedypaws sent her child in the street to get hit by a car; or I declined the proper treatment because the vet recommended a conservative approach based on my pet's vital signs. And what a callous receptionist at CSAH - we see over 40,000 animals per year and our loss ratio is only 1%! Tell the 1%, excuse me, 4,000 animal owners, that we are just a statistic! This place is cold hearted, money grubbing and your pet's care is not the first priority. All the vets there should attend James Herriot 101 classes and the present owner should be renamed Dr. Mengele. If my pet lay dying on the front doorstep of this hospital - I would go elsewhere.

This is a response to D. Poore: YOU DO NOT GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!! I spent thousands at CSAH and my pet is dead. I wish a thousand times over now that I had gone elsewhere. Do not make the same mistake that I did. Find a vet that truly loves animals above research.

Response to Katia W.: You are right - I feel like a total moran because I trusted the professionals and my pet is now dead. It really wasn't about the money, but I wish I had done my research and maybe my pet would still be alive. To all the other pet owners out there - get insurance, go to a good vet or hospital - one that cares about animals above their excellent equipment and new 40,000 s.f. facility - paid for by us morons.

I lost my best friend by Sarah M. at InsiderPages
RUN AWAY - do not walk - run away from this hospital! My precious and beloved dog passed away today. He was misdiagnosed from the beginning, the staff of this hospital have absolutely no compassion or bedside manners, you get a different doctor every time you go and all they care about is money. Money up front is more important than the treatment of your pet. I was told that he would not die from his injuries, they performed numerous tests and the final surgery they recommended was deemed a poor prognosis by another hospital and at least they told me the truth - that his chances were not good given his medical history. Unlike most good veterinarians that I have experienced in my lifetime, this hospital operates on the basis of letting the patient decide the treatment: conservative vs. aggressive and which one do you want to do - of course, based upon $$$ you want to spend. And then if you ask what is the best one and they tell you conservative is okay, they will later throw it in your face that you declined their recommended treatment?!!? Hey, who's the professional here? What they should do is lower their prices, which are way above everyone else's, and make the decision to do what will save the animal's life or to heal the fastest way possible - instead of their long drawn out process. I'm writing this today after burying my best friend - I hope that he did not die in vain and that everyone who reads this will find a good compassionate veterinarian that truly cares about your pet. There is nothing worse than seeing a different doctor or technician every time and money is their first and foremost issue in the treatment of your pet. At the end of this process, I am so glad that I made the decision to remove him from this hospital and at least he died in my arms at another hospital that treated him with much compassion. Thank you Hollywood Animal

In Response to the Negative Reviews of CSAH
My husband and I have a 6 year old Pekingese with intervertebral degenerative disc disease. We were referred to CSAH (specifically to Dr. Ken Moore for a surgical consult) by our regular veterinarian, Dr. Janeen Lezcano at Central Broward Animal Hospital (also AHAA accredited, like CSAH). Since the initial consult with Dr. Moore 2 years ago, we have had multiple repeat visits to CSAH for management of our dog's chronic condition. We are 110% satisfied with the quality of care our dog has received there.

Those who complain that CSAH is expensive are right. However, I challenge those folks to find another animal hospital that provides the level and quality of care provided by CSAH. The hospital is staffed 24/7 with regular staff vets, so you can get around-the-clock emergency care. They provide ICU level care for animals who need more than general nursing care. The range of available services is completely comprehensive. The facility is clean, well-staffed, and efficient. Equipment is new and up to date. Follow up visits following surgery are free. Most other vet clinics, including my own primary clinic, don't offer that level of service; and providing that level of service is an expensive undertaking. I believe that with most things, you get what you pay for, and CSAH is no exception.

Regarding the knowledge, training, and demeanor of their vets,so far we have consulted with five of the vets on their staff: three surgeons and two ER vets. Every single one (Drs. Moore, Jehn, Rawson, Hardy, and Schwartz) has been compassionate, caring, and extremely knowledgeable. Dr. Moore is an incomparable person, veterinarian, and surgeon. His care of our dog both in and out of the OR was exemplary. He has NEVER suggested unnecessary tests, procedures, or medications. His management of our dog's condition has been, on many occasions, conservative. I'm always surprised by how much
