They are not on the Grand Concourse anymore, they moved to Webster. The new place looks like a fancy human hospital. It is so clean and beautiful. You never have to wait long, everyone on the staff is so friendly and professional not like some other clinics I've been before with rude staff. The doctors are terrific! I trust them fully with all my babies. Prices are pretty low too campared to other places.

Concourse Animal Hospital is The WORST clinic to bring your loving pets. They are more concerned with the payment than the health of your pet. My experience with them started when my doggy ingested rat poison, and was peeing blood. I took him in and told them what he had ingested...They told me he had to be admitted and some diagnostic test had to be done in order to determine the cause (mind you, I had already told them the cause). They charged me $575 and told me my dog was going to be ok and that I can call the next day to check up on him. When I called the following day to ask about my pet they told me they could not give me an update on my dog. They kept saying that I had to wait for Dr. Katz, who was arriving at 11:00am. At 9:00am instead of calling back, I decided to head to the clinic myself an obtain information, when I arrived I asked about the health of my dog but the receptionist and the technicians were rude and unsymphatetic Finally, Dr. Katz arrived but 4 hour later. He told me that my dog had a unique case and he had no idea what was wrong. He told me to take him to 24 hour hospital for an ultrasound and then he wanted me to return with my dog for an exploratory surgery after the ultrasound. I disagreed with the surgery but took him to NYC Vet Specialist in 55th and 9th avenue. There he was immediately put into ICU and given VItamin K (which is an antidote for Rat poison), IV fluid and a 24 hour nurse( he was not left alone for the night like he was left at Concourse Animal Hospital)...One day later my dog was already showing signs of improvement and I owe it all to NYC Vet Specialist.

I was very unpleased with concourse animal hospital. The experience i had there was that they were more concerned about swiping your credit/debit card or you giving them money instead of caring for your pet. I was charged $495 to let my cat stay overnight for them show me a 20 minute blood test the next day to tell me that my pet had days to live. They have you waiting a long time and accept too many arrivals instead of spending the quality time to care and diagnose your pet. I will never ever recommend this animal hospital to my worse enemy. Your better off spending that money and go to 62nd street and york ave in Manhattan were you will get your moneys worth with the quality care and not tell you that your cat Sparky, when his actual name is Puffy has days to live. I don't understand how you can tell someone that their cat is dying and call your pet a completely different name than what was told to the receptionist and what was on file. With Concourse Animal Hospital your better off diagnosing your pet yourself because thats what they will tell you. So i advise you all considering going here for your pet care to go elsewhere because they are inconsiderate, expensive, money hungry and might put another name on your pets diagnoses.

The Concourse Animal Hospital is 1 in a million!

Seriously, if you are looking for the best care for your pet, look no further. I recently had a life-threatening situation with my family pet. He had never been there before, but they took him right in. I was extremely distraught and the Dr.'s were extremely knowledgable, informative, kind, and patient. They took their time to answer all of my questions and concerns. The staff is very sympathetic, kind and helpful also. Everyone seems to truly love animals. My pet is like my baby and I am comfortable for the first time that he is in the best hands! I am so fortunate that my old Vet's office was closed on the day of this emergency or I never would have found this place.

Additionally, the prices are very reasonable compared to other places I've been to.

this place is spacious and clean. i love coming here with my baby yorkie. the area is large therefore your not afraid of other large animals attacking and the staff is very pleasant and knowledgable... i really recommend this place!
