I dropped my laptop and broke the hinge on one side as well as the monitor and the frame around it. I took the laptop in and they ordered the parts, put it all back together and upgraded the ram in a week! I was very happy with their performance! Thanks Computer Guys!!!

Great Service and Friendly People!
I took my computer to The Computer Guy and was greeted by a young lady who put my fears to rest! She said that they had been experiencing lots of computers with the same problems as mine and that the techs were very good and would keep in touch with me all the way! I knew from her kind demeanor that everything was going to be okay, not to mention she is a Christian! I left the computer there and four days later (I understand there is a little backlog) a technician called me and told me he was going to be working on the computer and did I have any special requests. I told him I just wanted to make sure the pictures of my grandchildren were okay. He called the next day and told me the virus was gone and it was ready for pick up! They even carried it to the car for me! I won't go anywhere else, that is for sure!

Good People - Fast Friendly Service
These guys were very helpful! I had some keys broken on my laptop by my dog stepping on it. They checked the laptop and gave it back to me. When the laptop keyboard replacement was in, they called me and it took all of five minutes to replace. Great Service! Friendly People! How much better can it get than that!

Do not take your computer here
This place, which has since moved to California St has got to be one of the worst businesses I've ever dealt with. Starting with the woman at the front desk who is completely clueless as to what is going on in her shop and ending with an inexperienced team of technicians; this place is a nightmare.

When I took in my computer, the technician told me he would call me five days later at the latest. After the sixth day, I heard nothing so I called them. The man who answered the phone repeatedly forgot the name on my order; then told me he'd have the computer ready the following day, which it wasn't.

The technician informed me that he had to completely reset my entire computer. I specifically told him to save the music, which he did. Only, he forgot to put it back on. He finally fixed the problem, but only after my fourth trip to the business was everything resolved.

I've also had problems connecting to the internet ever since I took the computer back. Something, the technician told me he couldn't help with.

Heed my advice: DO NOT TAKE YOUR COMPUTER HERE. YOU WILL REGRET IT!

The technicians at Computer Guy are friendly and probably very technically capable of software/hardware/peripheral upgrades. I took my pc to them with quarantined files from a computer virus, and Microsoft firewall and automatic update issues.
They were able to clean the files the second time they tried, but to fix the OS problem they made me buy another copy of Windows XP professional and charged me 3 hours labor, all without resolving the problem.
A 10 minute call to Microsoft and a new Automatic Update file resolved the problem. I could have saved 3 days, three trips to downtown Reno, and $300 (the $39 virus scan is worth every penny, not sure what they do different than MacAfee or Symantec but it works).
While these technicians may be well versed at scanning, cleaning, and upgrading systems, you’ll end up with a new set of operating system CD’s and still won’t be certain they’ll utilize all available troubleshooting resources to resolve an issue. Ask questions and be careful.
