Poor Management
Although most of the staff there is pleasant and understanding the problems stem from the manager based in the Long Beach Office. There is a high turnaround of employees working the front desk and mistakes are made often due to the lack of training stemming from the manager. I have noticed there are various new employees are placed in positions and wrong tests are ordered secondary to employees not being trained and this leaves the patients having to foot the bill of the mistakes. Patients have had to be called back and rescheduled several times due to this problem. There was an employee that has been there for several years that had an addiction problem and the manager and the senior doctor was notified of this problem and nothing was done until one of the doctors found out that his DEA number was being used to forge prescriptions for the employees habit and the manager nor the senior doctor refused to believe it and did nothing about it. Eventually the employee was terminated but not until she was caught red handed by one of the partners and he demanded she not return. The manager allowed her to return to work the following day and the doctor basically hit the roof and demanded that she be terminated. The manager allows her personal feelings for employees to get in the way of making logical and professional decisions in regards to health, welfare and privacy of the patients. However, the majority of the doctors are very good and usually caring with the patients half of the doctors disagree with how she handles policy and procedure. Since she is the wife of one of the doctors it makes it difficult for the other two doctors to address certain situations when it comes to employees the manager has personal relationships with. This is unprofessional on behalf of the manager and unfair to the patients and other employees in the Long Beach and Los Alamitos offi
